Prott Reaches British Championship Final

The British Junior Championships were held from the 29th October – 1st November and two players from the Highland Region traveled to England to compete in the event.

Alasdair Prott (Inverness) and Harry Barron (Nairn) both competed in the boys under 15 event. Harry started in qualifying and successfully won both qualifying matches to make the main draw. He continued with some great performances in the tournament winning two of his matches and finishing in 14th place.

Alasdair was seeded 2 in the main draw and didn’t drop a game as he progressed through the draw to reach the final. He came up against Jared Carter (England) in the final where he lost in a well fought 3-0 (11-5/11-8/11-5, 23mins).

Well done to both Alasdair and Harry for great performances.
